Narrative Frameworks for Nature-Based Solutions offers an answer to this question in the form of four vignettes printed in a graphic-style pamphlet. A narrative approach is chosen to give residents the chance to envision themselves within the project at various phases of its planning, construction, and long-term maintenance. Through the eyes of Edgar the Egret, Ava the Engineer, Theo the Corps Member and Marco the Community Activist, these narrative frameworks seek to highlight the physical, ecological, and social co-benefits associated with the implementation of stewardship-driven nature-based solutions in East Boston’s Central Square.
